Day 1 · Espot - Refugi de l'Estany Llong
We will depart from Espot by 4x4 taxi to Estany de St. Maurici. From there, we will start our hike towards Vall de Ratera, passing by the waterfall and the lake that gives it its name. We will continue upwards and climb to Portarró d'Espot, the first pass of the traverse, a large esplanade that gives us access to Vall de Boí. We will have lunch and descend to Estany Llong, from where we will go to the refuge to spend the first night.
Day 2 · Refugi de l'Estany Llong - Ref. J.M. Blanc
On the second and most demanding day, we will depart after breakfast towards Vall de Dellui to face the climb to the pass connecting to Vall Fosca. Once there, we will walk among the multiple glacial lakes in this sector and ascend the Saburó pass to access Vall de Peguera. We will descend to the J.M. Blanc refuge where we will spend the last night.
Day 3 · Ref. J.M. Blanc - Espot
From J.M.Blanc we will ascend to the last pass of the traverse, Collada de Monestero, the most demanding of all, which will give us access to one of the most beautiful valleys in the National Park. Once in Monestero, we will descend to Estany de St. Maurici from where we will go down to the parking lot.
