Ascent to Pedraforca
Guided ascent to the most emblematic mountain of central Catalonia, in the heart of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.
About the activity
The ascent to Pedraforca is one of those milestones that every hiker must achieve once in a lifetime. This split mountain, full of centuries-old legends and stories of the pioneers of Catalan mountaineering, is carved into two sections separated by the aesthetic Enforcadura (saddle), with the highest point being the Pollegó Superior (2,506m).
An aesthetic and rugged silhouette, an isolated mountain in Alt Berguedà that in its highest parts offers a fully alpine atmosphere with technical terrain, broken by scree slopes and shaped by the limestone of its walls, a climate that can change quickly and that hosts high mountain fauna and vegetation.

To ascend to the summit, good legs will be required, as well as a good dose of energy and willingness to overcome the more than 1,000m of elevation gain concentrated in just over 4km, a true vertical kilometer that will test our endurance and physical fitness. If you exercise frequently, are used to mountain walking, like physical challenges or want to reach one of the most emblematic peaks of our country, don't miss this getaway!
