Itinerary

Day 1 · Monastery - Pla de la Trinitat - GR172 - Agulles Refuge

We ascend by rack railway to the Monastery and begin our route uphill towards the Pas dels Francesos. We climb up to Trinitat via the GR that leads us towards Can Maçana, following the entire north face of the Montserrat mountain, passing by the Monastery of Sta. Cecília and the Roca Foradada. Once at the entrance to the Agulles region, we access through the Portell Estret to the Vicenç Barbé Refuge, where we will spend the night after a good dinner.

Day 2 · Agulles Refuge - Montgròs - St. Jeroni - Monastery

After breakfast at the refuge, we follow the PR to Montgròs (100 summits). We have a snack and descend to the Canal del Migdia to climb again to the highest peak of Montserrat, the Miranda de St. Jeroni. We descend through the Pla dels Ocells to the Pla de les Taràntules and, from there, down to the Monastery, where we will have completed the circle.
